To accelerate commercialization and investment opportunities in the state, the Arizona Commerce Authority launched the Small Business Innovation Research Training Program. The SBIR Training Program is a series of webinars that provides entrepreneurs, small business owners and startups with the local resources and mentors to competitively apply for funding through the SBIR program.

The highly competitive SBIR program encourages domestic small businesses to engage in federal research and research development (R&D) that has the potential for commercialization. Tune in and learn how to fund your innovation-based startup using non-dilutive seed capital provided by the federal government.
ACA INNOVATION NETWORK
The Arizona Commerce Authority has partnered with community organizations across the state to provide early-stage ventures, startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses with a collection of training and resources to navigate the SBIR/STTR application process.
Through the ACA Innovation Network (ACA IN), entrepreneurs have access to free, virtual training courses and a mentor network. The training modules address the SBIR/STTR solicitation of proposals, the proposal preparation and evaluation process, intellectual property and accounting considerations.
In addition, ACA IN plays host to a statewide, expert mentorship network. Founders and entrepreneurs may search for mentors with relevant industry and functional expertise to receive advice and support in growing their business.
After registering with ACA IN, please navigate to the Program Cohorts button in the menu. Once there, select ACA SBIR.
