Arizona Statewide Economic Study 2002
Arizona Statistical Abstract Tables This section contains selected tables from the forthcoming 2003 Arizona Statistical Abstract, published by the Eller College of Business at the University of Arizona. The tables presented here are pertinent to the mission of the Arizona Statewide Economic Study.
There is no shortage of data on Arizona’s economy. The major challenge is to find the right information for the decision at hand and use it appropriately. One source that has proven extremely helpful to decision makers is the Arizona Statistical Abstract.
It includes data on physical resources of the state, human resources (such as population, vital statistics, health, education, employment and welfare), public sector activities, and various economic measures such as output, sales, jobs, etc. Also included are statistics from numerous sources such as the 2000 Census of Population and Housing, Economic Censuses, Annual Survey of Manufacturers, and County Business Patterns. Data are presented by jurisdiction as well as comparisons to other states. The presentation is both comprehensive and concise.
In 1993, the Arizona Statistical Abstract received a national award for excellence in the “single-volume category” from the Association of University Business and Economic Research.
