Southwest Tribal Energy Peer Exchange

Over 90 people attended the Southwest Tribal Energy Peer Exchange on September 25 - 26, 2007 at the Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel in Tempe, Arizona.  The energy-related presentations focused on business development, financing, tribal energy programs and projects, renewable energy technologies, and utility formation.  Participants heard needs and concerns of colleagues from other Southwest Tribes and had the opportunity to network and brainstorm with peers.  In addition, The Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office was honored to have Winona LaDuke, Executive Director of Honor the Earth, as a keynote speaker.
