Certification Program - City of Phoenix

The city’s Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Certification Program is an incentive program to ensure minority and woman-owned firms have an equal opportunity to participate in city of Phoenix business opportunities. The certification process makes certain that the incentive programs are limited to businesses legitimately owned and controlled by local minorities or women. The certification application for is available through the Equal Opportunity Department website at www.phoenix.gov/BUSINESS/certbus.html.

In addition, the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certification Program certifies firms to participate in incentive programs available for small business owners located in Maricopa County who want to do business with the city of Phoenix. The SBE program is administered in addition to the existing Minority- and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise Certification Program. The certification application for Small Business Enterprise is available through the City of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Office website at www.phoenix.gov/BUSINESS/certbus.html.

The City of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department offers monthly Certification and Business Opportunity workshops for prospective firms interested in becoming certified with the city.
