2005 Exports

Exports from Arizona worldwide totaled $14.9 billion for 2005, an increase of 11.37% when compared to 2004.

In 2005, Mexico continued in its number one position; Arizona exports to Mexico posted a 25% gain over 2004. Canada is still at its traditional second spot with an increase of 16.46%. Malaysia remains in third place; the UK takes fourth place over Germany that moves to fifth.

As a region, Asia continues to dominate the top 10, with 5 countries. Exports to Singapore increased significantly with 20.38% primarily influenced by the Electrical Machinery sector. We can notice three European countries in the top 10. Netherlands has an extraordinary increase of 284.23% over 2004. The UK and Germany displayed an increase of 15.79% and 8.08%. The Mining, Electrical Machinery and Aerospace sectors strongly influenced these results.

The Electronics sector continued its comeback, and Machinery rallied to take the second spot from Aerospace sector.
